Ringwood BC Bowlers Academy

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Ringwood Bowls Club New & Emerging Bowlers Academy.

The Academy is a bowls coaching & mentoring 20 week off season yearly program running between April & August which will focus on the development of all Ringwood Bowls Club members new to the game and also talented emerging bowlers. We believe that providing a full bowling experience is a must to get the absolute best out of new and emerging bowlers.

Founded by our Head Coach Mark ‘Funky’ O’Halloran, the Academy has 6 dedicated coaches (including an arm coach) who will oversee the performance, skill and bowls knowledge of participants who will all proudly wear a newly designed Ringwood Bowls Club Academy Polo.

The Academy is split into 2 groups being the ‘Eagles Squad’ for participants aged between 10-55 and the ‘Senior Eagles Squad’ for bowlers over 55.

We are excited to already have 19 players entering the Academy which kicks off on April 14.

Whilst the Academy is designed to develop new and emerging bowlers of all ages, it does recognise the importance of younger bowlers in our sport so we are excited to offer Scholarships to bowlers under the age of 21 who would like to be part of this exciting journey.
