Eastern Ranges Men’s team wins the 2021 Region Sides Championships.

2021 Region Sides Championships

The 2021 Region Sides Championships were played in Shepparton from
Friday 30 April – Sunday 2 May.

In the Women’s Championships, the Eastern Ranges team finished a
credible fourth in their Section with a 4 – 3 win/loss record.

The rink of Kirsten Day, Trish Cullinane, Carol Protopapas and Nicole
Shortis was the best performing rink having won 6 of their 7 matches
with a margin of +11 shots.

Meanwhile, in the Men’s Championships, Eastern Ranges won their Section
with a 6 – 1 win/loss record. This is a fantastic result with the final
sectional game against Yarra determining which Region would play Central
Goulbourn Murray in the Final.

The rink of Max Goldsmith, Barry Ward, Anthony Witkowski and Josh
Sanders was the best performing rink having won 5 of their 7 matches
with a margin of +48 shots.

In the Final, against the undefeated Central Goulburn Murray, The men’s
Eastern Ranges team won by 12 shots (48 – 36).

A great result for months of hard work.
